enchantedengland: aloha-nicole: Kirkstone Pass, Ambleside. Rod Burkey © enchantedengland: Reasons to visit Ambleside: It is in Cumbria Which is in England It lies within the Lake District National Park It’s at the head of Windermere, England’s largest lake.  The Roman fort of Galava, A.D.79, is just south of the town William Wordsworth’s house is in the nearby village of Rydal. There are lots of pubs. Try the Lake District Tea Bread and Cumberland Sausage.  It looks like this.
